Late Shri Poonam Chand ji Kalal, the founder of M.B. Health & Hygiene Nursing Shikshan Sansthan, Dungarpur, accepted the challenge and decided to open a veterinary college in the Dungarpur district of Rajasthan, keeping in view the need of the state in general and of that area in particular. The members of society approached the Government of Rajasthan for seeking its permission to open the proposed veterinary college. The college is affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner; and recognized by Veterinary Council of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Govt. of India. The college follows course-curriculum as per Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education-2016 prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi, with emphasis on disease of bovines including sheep & goats, camel, equines, poultry and companion animals to meet specific requirements of the state.
