The main research area of the department includes study the effects of supplementation of feed additives on the performance of dairy animals, chickens and breeding bulls. Different feed additives like chelated minerals, prebiotics, probiotics, choline, cumin, galo have been screened for different livestock. The department is also focusing the research priority to reduce the feeding cost for farmers to enhance the profitability of dairy farmers.
